P2.6M worth of cocaine seized from two drug pushers in Sta. Rosa, Laguna
STA. ROSA, LAGUNA – Two individuals allegedly involved in the distribution of cocaine in disco clubs and pub houses were cornered by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Region 3 in front of a popular theme park in Barangay Balibago here at around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, March 27.
The two suspects identified as Aaron Gidwani, 37, and Mark Paul Pagaon, 41, yielded 500 grams of cocaine worth P2,650,000 during a buy-bust operation.
The two suspects, according to the authorities, were distributors of cocaine in disco clubs and pub houses in Metro Manila.
The raiders found the marked money used by the PDEA undercover agents in buying the banned drugs, and confiscated the suspects’ black motorcycle.
"Cocaine is a stimulant drug which means that it produces fast and intense feelings of energy. It is addictive because someone can get hooked after trying it just once," a PDEA team leader said.
The operation was conducted by operatives led by PDEA Region III - Pampanga Provincial Office, PDEA Calabarzon and the local police.
A charge for violation of section 5 (sale of dangerous drugs) in relation to section 26-B (conspiracy to sell) will be filed against the arrested suspects.
