Missing 22-year-old female Catbalogan teacher intern found alive
TACLOBAN CITY – A 22-year-old student from Samar State University who had been missing since Wednesday, March 22, was found in Catbalogan City after five days of searching on Tuesday, March 28.
DARLENE Uy Darlene Luzelle Uy, a student-teacher at Catbalogan I Central Elementary School, was found within the area where she was last seen. Two law enforcers on board a motorized boat found Darlene behind some nipa and coconut trees. Lt. Col. Edwin Oloan, chief of police of Catbalogan, has ordered a thorough search of the area near the river where she was captured on a CCTV camera. Darlene was reportedly weak but was conscious and responsive when she was found and still wearing her blue internship uniform. She was brought to Catbalogan Doctors Hospital for a medical checkup. Authorities have yet to issue a statement regarding her disappearance. Her family had earlier offered a P250,000 reward to whoever can provide information about her location.
