DICT Secretary Uy among top cabinet officials — survey

Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Secretary Ivan John Uy was among the country’s top cabinet officials, a non-commissioned survey showed. The independent poll dubbed as “Boses ng Bayan” was led by the RP Mission and Development Foundation Inc. In the said survey, Uy ranked third among top cabinet officials in terms of job performance rating, acquiring a score of 75 percent. According to Uy, this accomplishment and recognition pushes the DICT to fulfill its digital agenda. “We will continue to bring connectivity to every community, bridging the digital divide, while bringing government services closer to every citizen through e-governance. The DICT is working towards a safe and inclusive digital Philippines, as directed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.,” said Uy. The nationwide poll was conducted from Feb. 25 to March 8. It covered 10,000 adult respondents who are all registered voters. Earlier in March, DICT Undersecretary Anna Mae Lamentillo also emerged as the top government spokesperson in the Philippines.
