DAVAO CITY - The Zamboanga Task Force COVID-19 reported three new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) infection on Tuesday night, June 30.
The Task Force said one of the three patients, identified as ZC215, was a 76-year old woman from San Roque, who was admitted at a private hospital on June 27.
She was diagnosed with acute coronary syndrome (ACS) with pneumonia and bronchial asthma.
Another patient identified as ZC216 was a 42-year-old man from Suterville, who was also admitted on June 27.
He was diagnosed with Community Acquired Pneumonia and was suspected to have COVID. The Task Force said a specimen was collected from him on the day of his admission.
However, ZC216 died on June 28 “with final diagnosis of Acute Respiratory Failure, Community Acquired Pneumonia - High Risk with chronic kidney disease due to hypertension; COVID Probable.”
The Task Force said he was the sixth confirmed mortality due to COVID-19 in Zamboanga City after his result was released last night.
Meanwhile, another patient from Suterville, San Jose Gusu turned out positive for COVID-19. The patient identified as ZC217 was a 69-year-old man who was admitted on June 28. The Task Force said he was diagnosed with cerebrovascular disease “probably infarct with co-morbidity of diabetes.”
The city now has a total of 217 cases, 40 of which are active.
