Why should Filipinos not vote for Robredo or Marcos? Mayor Isko says both will just seek revenge

Filipinos should not vote for Vice President Leni Robredo and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. as the country’s next president as both will just seek revenge, presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said.

During the 2022 Presidential One-On-One Interviews with Boy Abunda aired on Thursday, Jan. 27, Domagoso was asked why the Filipinos should not vote for other presidential aspirants.

On why the people should not vote for Senator Panfilo Lacson and Senator Manny Pacquiao, he said “Pwede naman iboto rin" and “Mabait naman, okay naman,” respectively.

On not voting for Robredo, Domoagoso said “Maghihiganti sa Marcos at Duterte.”

As for Marcos, he said “Maghihiganti sa dilawan at pinklawan.”

The Manila mayor had earlier said Filipinos deserve "to live in our present and work together for our better future".

"We don't forget what happened in the past, we will always remember their mistakes and successes," he said.

"With their success, we will duplicate and innovate, with their failure, pananagutin natin sila sa mata ng batas, hindi sa kapritso at kapangyarihan lamang ng pangulo (We will hold them accountable in the eyes of the law, not just the whim and power of the president)," he added.

Domagoso, meanwhile, was also asked why Filipinos should vote for him.

“Hindi maghihiganti sa kanino man, sa bilis ng problem, kailangan ng tunay na solusyon at mabilis na aksyon (I will not seek revenge from anyone, as problems emerge fast, people need real solution and fast responses),” he said.
