All United States immigrant and non-immigrant visa interviews scheduled through May 31, 2020 are temporarily canceled due to the extension of the country's enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) measures to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the US Embassy in Manila announced on Sunday.
In a statement, the US Embassy said they will resume routine visa services “as soon as possible” but are unable to provide a specific date at the moment
The US Embassy advised all affected applicants to reschedule their respective visa interviews after the ECQ is lifted in Metro Manila.
It also assured that no fee will be applied to change an appointment and visa application fees are valid for one year in the country where the fee was paid.
All those who will seek to reschedule their visa interviews after the lifting of the ECQ may call Embassy call center by phone at +63 (2) 7792-8988 and +63 (2) 8548-8223, or through the online appointment system at ustraveldocs.com/ph.
On Friday, President Duterte ordered the extension of the ECQ in Metro Manila, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and other “high risk” area in Luzon until May 15, 2020.
