Trillanes wants VP Robredo to head IATF

(MANILA BULLETIN) Trillanes was reacting to presidential spokesman Harry Roque’s criticism of Robredo, who earlier called out Palace officials for the poorly coordinated efforts in bringing home stranded individuals in Metro Manila amid the lockdown. “If Malacanang really wants to flatten the curve, then it should appoint Vice President Robredo to be the IATF chair,” said Trillanes, a vocal critic of the Duterte administration. “Kung si Vice President Leni ang mamumuno at magpapatakbo ng IATF, mas marami itong magagawa at siguradong mas maganda ang kampanya natin laban sa COVID-19 (If VP Leni will be tasked to lead and run the IATF, I believe she can do more and ensure a better campaign against COVID-19),” the former lawmaker said. He also slammed Roque for telling Robredo to present solutions rather than criticize the government’s efforts against the deadly virus.
