Mayor Francis Zamora
Zamora said each passenger would have to pay a fixed fare of P15 per trip. All tricycle drivers must also secure a health clearance and travel pass from the local government which would indicate that they have complied with the safety protocols of the City Health Office and the San Juan Tricycle Regulatory Board. “The health pass must be worn as an ID by the driver at all times. This is free of charge,” he said. The mayor also said all tricycle units must also have a plastic cover to protect both the drivers and the passengers. He also noted that only one passenger is allowed and that passengers cannot ride at the back of the driver. Zamora also advised all tricycle drivers to always disinfect their units to ensure the safety of their passengers.

Zamora said Tricycle Operators and Drivers Associations (TODAs) are also required to set proper social distancing protocols in terminals.
“They must also assign Safety Protocol Officers at their terminals to make sure all the guidelines are followed at all times,” he said.
Wearing of face masks is also mandatory in the city.
As of last May 23, there were 302 confirmed cases in San Juan City with 40 deaths and 138 recoveries.
