Student shot dead after attending Sunday worship in Zamboanga City

ZAMBOANGA CITY – A student was shot dead after attending Sunday worship here on March 26. Victim Jaesfort Gregorio Francisco, 29, was reportedly on his way home when he was shot dead by still unidentified suspects. Police recovered the spent shell of a .45 caliber pistol near his cadaver. Residents were said to have heard gunshots on Sunday night but paid no heed. Francisco’s body was discovered the following morning in a bushy area near his home. His mother, Madelyn, said that his son received death threats on his phone prior to the incident. The death threats were said to have stemmed from school-related troubles.
