St. Luke's no longer accepts COVID-19 patients; 592 health workers in quarantine

By Joseph Almer Pedrajas The management of St. Luke’s Medical Center said Tuesday that it is no longer accepting COVID-19 patients in its two branches. In a statement, St. Luke's said both its Quezon and Taguig City branches "are no longer capable of accepting COVID-19 patients for confinement" as they "have already exceeded maximum capacity." "Admitting more COVID-19 patients will seriously impact our ability to deliver the critical level of care and attention patients need at this time," the hospital explained. As of this posting, St. Luke's said they have 48 COVID-19-positive patients admitted at their facilities. They also have 139 patients under investigation, while 592 of the center's health workers on the front lines are under quarantine. "For the meantime, we will still provide outpatient COVID-19 testing for patients who will qualify based on the stringent criteria set by the Department of Health," St. Luke's said.
