Several Filipinos were not allowed to enter Malaysia because of the threat of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the Armed Forces of the Philippines-Western Mindanao Western Command (AFP-WesMinCom) reported Sunday.
In a statement, WesMinCom said that the Filino deportees were brought to Sibalik Island in Lantawan, Basilan Friday where they will undergo a 14-day quarantine.
Countries worldwide have been enforcing strict border patrol in order to foreigners from infecting the local population.
Even the Philippines has implemented travel bans, against foreigners coming from countries with high incidence of the dreaded disease.
