Six more barangays in Pasay City placed under localized community lockdown
The Pasay City government placed six more barangays under the localized community quarantine (LCQ) on Tuesday, March 23, bringing the total number of barangays under lockdown in the city to 121.
Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the households in the 121 barangays placed under LCQ now total 454.
Rubiano said a total of 23 new households from the six barangays were added to the initial 431 households from 115 barangays.
She said Barangay 183 has the highest number of households afflicted with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) with 62 households, followed by barangays 179 and 191 with 12; barangays 76 and 184 with 1; and barangays 38 and 201 with 10.
The mayor urged city residents to be vigilant and help the city government in its fight against COVID-19.
Rubiano on Monday night ordered the installation of checkpoints by the local police at the boundaries of Paranaque and Makati City to ensure that the unified curfew hours from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. are being followed.
She said the city government is also helping residents afflicted with the virus by providing them with nutritious foods.
Rubiano said the city government will continue to conduct swab testing and isolation of those with symptoms of the virus to halt its spread.
