Sara's campaign rally not in President Duterte's schedule — Palace
The proclamation rally of vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte-Carpio on Tuesday, Feb. 8, is not in her father President Duterte's schedule, Malacañang said.

"As per appointments office of Malacañang, wala pong ganyang entry sa kanyang official calendar as of last night,” Cabinet Secretary and acting presidential spokesman Karlo Nograles said in a briefing also on Tuesday.
Duterte-Carpio and her running mate presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. held their proclamation rally at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan to mark the start of the May 2022 elections campaign period.
While the President's party, the PDP-Laban, does not have a standard-bearer for the upcoming elections, it has adopted Duterte-Carpio as its vice-presidential candidate.
In his latest Talk To The People program aired Monday night, Feb. 7, Duterte reiterated that he is not into supporting anyone in the upcoming polls, but said that all those running for president are qualified to be his successor.
However, the President added that he is not closing the door to the possibility of giving his seal of approval to a presidential aspirant, especially if it becomes necessary.
"I may, in the end, if I see that my advice, maybe my endorsement, would help, kung kailangan (if it is needed)," Duterte said.
"Unless there is a compelling reason, really, for me to change my mind and decide to support a candidate. But until now, wala akong nakikita na danger (I’m not seeing any danger)," he added.
Duterte earlier supported and endorsed the presidential bid of his long-time aid Senator Bong Go but the latter withdrew from the race.
