Robredo has 'momentum', her spox asserts, despite Marcos topping Pulse Asia survey again

Presidential aspirant Vice President Leni Robredo has the “clear momentum” early this official campaign season, her camp said on Sunday, Feb. 13, as Pulse Asia survey revealed her lagging at second place with 16 percent.

Her toughest rival, former Senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr., topped the survey with 60 percent.

The survey, with 2,400 respondents, was conducted from Jan. 19 to 24, is “too early to capture the impact of the game-changing interviews with GMA, DZRH, and other media outfits.”

Marcos attended the interview with DZRH and DZBB but refused the interview with GMA-7’s Jessica Soho and Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.

“VP Leni's stellar performance in those interviews, added to the massive rallies that have come out for her during this first week of the official campaign, give us confidence that she has the clear momentum,” Gutierrez said.

“We have no doubt this will be reflected in the coming surveys, and of course, on election day,” he added.

Following Robredo are Senator Manny Pacquiao and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno Domagoso with 8 percent and Senator Panfilo Lacson with 4 percent.

Faisal Mangondato had 0.3 percent while former presidential spokesperson Ernie Abella recorded 0.05 percent. Labor leader Leody de Guzman got 0.02 percent while Norberto Gonzales and Jose Montemayor Jr. recorded zero.
