Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said he wants to place Cavite province on lockdown in the wake of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the province.

(Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) In a Facebook post, Remulla said he will confer with Cavite mayors today, April 27, to get “consensus on lockdown rules.” Remulla on Monday said eight more have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the province’s total number of cases to 161. “I take full responsibility for this. I should have enforced the VE ECQ earlier,” Remulla said. The Cavite governor said he will also be contacting the Philippine Army for “additional reinforcements.” Remulla told Cavite residents to “get ready,” for the lockdown. “I will suggest that to the mayors that we start the lockdown sooner. Please prepare,” he said.
