Remulla sets conditions before Cavite malls could be allowed to re-open

(Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) Among these conditions was for establishments to ensure that each shopper will only be limited to one hour inside the mall. In a Facebook post Tuesday, May 19, Remulla also said mall operating hours will be limited to 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and that mall security is expected to implement social distancing management in the establishment premises. “May time card na iibigay sa bawat napasok ng mall. One hour (isang oras) lamang Ang pwede sa loob,” the governor said. “May mga safety marshal ang management at kailangan ipakita ang mga time-card na ito pag itinanong. Pag 10 minutes to go ay sasamahan kayo palabas… Uni-directional na sa loob Ng mall. May mga arrow na magbibigay direction sa paglakad ng namimili,” he added. Remulla stressed that only quarantine pass holders will be allowed inside the malls. “Pasensya na sa 90 percent na company, COE, at working ID na tumupad at hinde inabuso nung sistema,” he rued. “Yung 10 percent na tigas ulo ay sinira ang pagkakataon ninyo. Ang frontliners ay always welcome but subject to the same rules.” The governor also said that if he observes that social distancing is being earnestly followed in the province, he might start thinking about lifting the liquor ban. The temporary closure order came after a deluge of shoppers rushed to Cavite malls last weekend after the province shifted to a less restrictive general community quarantine (GCQ). As of 3 p.m., May 18, Cavite has recorded 276 cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), with 88 recoveries and 26 mortalities.
