The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has opened a hotline service where the public can access their COVID-19 test results, its chairman and CEO, Senator Richard Gordon said on Tuesday.
Senator Richard Gordon
(Senate of the Philippines / MANILA BULLETIN) "Lahat na ng nakuha namin puwedeng tumawag ang mga na-test sa 1158 at hahanapin namin ang pangalan niyo dun, kung ibigay niyo email niyo at cellphone number, at pagkatapos papadala namin sa email niyo na certified ng aming mga doktor sa Red Cross," said Gordon, PRC chairman, in an interview with Unang Balita. This will help people who were tested to get their results at the earliest possible time, as there were some cases that a person who was tested did not receive the result at all, he added. “Ang Red Cross up to date.. lahat ng tinestest namin pinapadala namin sa Coast Guard, DOF at BOQ . Ibig sabihin nakalagay na don kung negative o positive. Ang problema hindi nila napapadala,” Gordon said. "Pag natanggap namin, almost the next day tapos yung test. Ang pinakamatagal nun tatlong araw. Pinapadala sa kanila, pero di umaabot sa tao," he said. He said there were encoding problems on the part of the government agencies conducting the swabs. "Kami tiga-test lang, ang taga-swab gobyerno. Pagkatapos dadalhin nila yung kanilang mga data alright? Dapat yun encoded properly. Nahuhuli ko minsan nagkakamali-mali sa encoding. Di namin tatanggapin kung mali pero maraming nakalusot," he said. Gordon, meanwhile, clarified he is not blaming anybody. “Hindi ako naninisi ha, kasi bago itong sistema, ayoko sisihin ang Coast Guard, ang laki na ng pagod ng mga iyan, lahat ng mga nasa gobyerno, pati DOH pagod lahat yan. Pero sistema ang inaayos.”
