PINUKPUK, Kalinga – A former member of the New People’s Army received P65,000 assistance from the Enhanced Community Local Integration Program (ECLIP) here recently.
Major Noel Laguiwed, Pinukpuk Municipal Police Station chief, said the rebel returnee also received an additional
P20,000 livelihood assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Laguiwed said the rebel returnee will undergo a series of trainings and seminars that will fast-track his reintegration into society.
The rebel returnee thanked the Pinukpuk MPS, the Kalinga Provincial Police Office under Col. Charles Domallig who facilitated his surrender, the DILG, DSWD, and the provincial government of Kalinga headed by Gov. James Edduba for their assistance.
He encouraged his former comrades to lay down their weapons and return to the fold of the law and enjoy a normal life.
