Quarantine facility at Sta. Barbara half-way house under construction

LINGAYEN – The provincial government here announced the ongoing construction of an emergency quarantine facility at the Sta. Barbara Halfway House, which is being funded by Pangasinan Contractors Association (PCA).

Provincial Engineer Antonieta Delos Santos said the construction of the emergency facility was expected to be completed by this week.
The halfway house will be utilized as an additional space for persons under investigation (PUIs) who tested negative until they complete their 14-day quarantine period.
The facility is a one-story, 6x24-meter building which can house up to 16 beds.
Delos Santos mentioned that the P600,000 was donated by the PCA for the project, while the ventilation and other amenities in the new facility were going to be shouldered by the provincial government.
As of press time, the number of confirmed cases in the province remains at 36 with 17 recoveries, 10 confined patients, and nine deaths.
Patients under investigation or COVID-19 suspects reached 200, as of 9 a.m., April 20, with 51 confined patients, 114 recoveries, and 35 deaths.
