The local government said that the provisions of the affected residents are being provided.
On March 19, there were only 12 areas under lockdown. The number rose as Mayor Joy Belmonte recently said that the city's current COVID-19 situation is already "serious" and "alarming."
On the other hand, the city's Department of Public Order and Safety said a total of 819 individuals were apprehended by city personnel and police for violating the curfew hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
They were nabbed on the first night of the strict enforcement of curfew hours, which was done in a bid to lessen the transmission of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila.
The local government said they were issued a citation ticket worth P1,000 for their first offense, P2,000 for second, and P5,000 for third.
