PSE suspends trading today due to Taal eruption

By MB Online The Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) said there would be no trading today due to the eruption of Taal Volcano. "Please be advised that there will be no trading at PSE, no clearing and settlement at the Securities Clearing Corporation of the Philippines today, January 13, 2020, to ensure the safety of employees and traders in light of the volcanic ash emission of Taal Volcano," the PSE said in an advisory. Phivolcs had earlier raised Alert Level 4 over Taal Volcano, warning about a possible hazardous explosive eruption within hours or days. Several domestic and international flights were also cancelled due to the volcanic ash from Taal Volcano. The ash has already reached Metro Manila.
