The Las Piñas City government has released a set of guidelines for the implementation of a 24-hour curfew in the city to fight the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Mayor Imelda Aguilar ordered the City Police Chief Colonel Segundo Lagundi to deploy policemen to conduct 24-hour patrols around the city and ensure that city residents will just stay home, and follow the protocol set forth under the enhanced community quarantine.
In an interview, Lagundi said a total of 126 curfew violators were apprehended by the police, and brought at the police headquarters last Saturday, March 21.
He said those rounded up where given lectures on the effects of COVID-19 before they were brought home by mobile patrol cars.
Lagundi added that Aguilar strictly ordered him to enforce the implementation of the home quarantine pass system, which will allow only one member of each family to leave the abode and purchase needed essentials.
