The Pasig city government reported on Tuesday, April 7, that there are 140 individuals tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
The city’s public information office shared the information in a Facebook post on Tuesday, citing the Department of Health (DOH) as their source with 28 people who have recovered from the COVID-19. It also stated that there are 229 persons under investigation (PUIs) and 80 persons under monitoring (PUMs). The city also recorded 22 deaths due to COVID-19. The barangay with the most number of positive cases is Ugong with 20, followed by Rosario with 15, and Pinagbuhatan with 13 cases.
Meanwhile, the Pasig City Children’s Hospital (PCCH) has been converted into a COVID-19 referral facility as public and private hospitals are near saturation point, Mayor Vico Sotto announced on Tuesday.
Sotto also assured residents that the facilities are safe and downplayed fears about becoming infected. Sotto also invited doctors and nurses to work in Pasig, as their hospitals are near saturation point.
