Parañaque LGU to distribute monthly allowance for students
Parañaque City Mayor Eric Olivarez announced that the local government is ready to release the monthly allowance of public school students from kindergarten to senior high school.
Olivarez made the announcement during the regular flag raising ceremony held at the Parañaque City Hall grounds on Monday, March 27.
The mayor said students will receive P2,000 each, covering the period of September to December 2022 which is equivalent to P500 monthly.
Olivarez said the Local School Board of Parañaque, under the leadership of Rhodora Villar, will issue the payment schedule of allowance to 110,000 students.
He said 3,472 college students will also receive their college educational
financial assistance (CEFAP) for the first semester of school year 2022-2023.
The payout for 1,412 students from District I will be held on Tuesday, March 28, at the Parañaque City Sports Complex while the 2,060 students from District II is scheduled on Wednesday, March 29.
Olivarez said 1,803 students with a general grade average of 81.86 percent will receive P3,500, while 1,669 students with grades of 87 percent and above will receive P5,000.
