PANGASINAN – The town of Bani was placed under extreme enhanced community quarantine (EECQ) from after one of its frontliners tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Mayor Gwen Palafox-Yamamoto signed the executive order placing the town under EECQ from June 6 to June 9.
Yamamoto said a frontliner from Bani tested positive for COVID-19 last June 3.
She said contact tracing was already being undertaken by the local government unit to ensure that all persons concerned will be properly monitored, and provided immediate treatment when necessary to prevent further spread of the virus.
During the lockdown, no person shall be allowed outside at all times.
The Bani Public Market will also be closed for sanitation.
Yamamoto said EECQ could be listed once contract tracing on the latest COVID-19 case is completed.
