CEBU CITY – About 147,406 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in Cebu have received P4,650 each as emergency cash subsidy under the national government’s Social Amelioration Program (SAP) since June 11.
According to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 7 Regional Information Officer Leah Quintana, a total of P685,437,900 had been disbursed since June 11, and that the emergency cash subsidy served as a top-up amount added to the 4Ps beneficiaries’ regular cash grant of P1,350 that included P750 health grant and P600 rice subsidy.
For the 4Ps non-cash card holders, Quintana said their subsidies will be facilitated again through a direct pay-out scheme by the DSWD. They were reminded to wait for their Pantawid City or Municipal Links (C/MLs) for information on when their subsidy will be available for release.
Quintana went on that all 4Ps household beneficiaries, who have availed of the emergency cash subsidy under SAP, will no longer be qualified to receive subsidy from other national government agencies like the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) under its Tulong Pangkabuhayan sa Displaced/ Underprivileged Workers (TUPAD); Department of Agriculture (DA) Cash Assistance for Farmers Survival and Recovery (SURE) Assistance for marginalized, small farmers and fishers recovery package, small business wage subsidy of the Social Security System (SSS).
