The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) in Makati City has been placed on lockdown on Tuesday, June 30, due to possible exposure to the 2019 novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The OSG explained the move was made after one of its employees tested positive during rapid antibody tests.
Following this, the OSG said the employee has been subjected to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test to confirm if he does have COVID-19.
“As a precautionary measure, and while awaiting the results of the confirmatory tests, no one, except personnel from the FMS (Financial Management Service) and the sanitation and disinfection team, will be allowed in the premises,” the OSG said.
“Likewise, no documents will be received or sent out until further notice,” it added.
Prior this, the Department of Justice (DOJ), the mother agency of the OSG, has been placed on lockdown from June 18 to 28 after five employees and a security guard tested positive for COVID-19 during rapid antibody tests.
