The agency said of the total cases, 40 came from Davao City, three from Davao del Norte, two from Davao del Sur, two from Davao Oriental, and one from Davao de Oro.
Five patients have already recovered from the infection, the DOH-Davao said.
The region listed a total of 415 persons under investigation (PUIs). Of this number, 258 have tested negative for the disease.
On Saturday, the agency reported that 11 PUIs died, four of them passing away without knowing the results of their tests for COVID-19, and four others testing negative for the coronavirus.Test results for the remaining three have yet to be released.
The report did not indicate the details of the patients.
DOH-Davao Regional Director Annabelle Yumang said in a text message that details of the deceased PUIs were with the hospitals where they are confined. The Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in Davao City, which confirmed three of the four deceased PUIs were their patients, has yet to respond to the query.
The SPMC currently houses 20 patients who have COVID-19 while Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) in Tagum City has two.
The DOH-Davao said extensive information gathering and contact tracing to all persons, who came in close contact with the patients, have been contacted.
“DOH is coordinating with concerned agencies to expedite the contact tracing,” it added.
