President Duterte will not take another COVID-19 test especially since he remains fit and healthy, Malacañang said Monday.

Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo said the President, who has been advised by his doctors to go on home quarantine since last week, has not shown any symptoms of the
disease.
"PRRD (President Rodrigo Roa Duterte) remains fit and healthy. No need for a 2nd COVID test,” he said in a statement Monday.
He said the President was not exposed to Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año prior to March 26 when the latter was exposed to four persons confirmed infected with the virus.
"He does not have any symptoms of colds, cough, fever, sore throat or shortness of breath,” Panelo said about the President.
Since he declared an enhanced community quarantine in Luzon last month, the President has delivered late night public addresses to update the public about the government's COVID-19 response. Recently, he has urged the public to observe strict home quarantine except for essential trips, and practice other health precautions to stem the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The President has recently been advised by his doctors and the Presidential Security Group to go on self-quarantine as a precaution against the coronavirus. Duterte's self-quarantine will last until April 7, according to Senator Christopher Go.
Duterte’s recent meetings have been limited to a small number of Cabinet members as well as video conferencing.
The Presidential Security Group has imposed stringent security measures, including a ‘no touch’ policy on the President, to ensure his safety and health amid the COVID-19 outbreak.
