Fernando said that the 5,800-square meter, three-storey BMC extension can accommodate 250 patients.
The Bulacan governor pointed out that it would be better if persons under investigation (PUIs), and persons under monitoring (PUMs) will be kept together in a special quarantine facility to avoid the spread of the the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Meanwhile, Dr. Protacio Bajao, chief of the hospital at BMC, said that the centralized quarantine facility will start to operate when the medical supplies and equipment will arrive, and once it started to operate, PUIs will be accommodated.
Earlier, the Provincial Health Office-Public Health once again reminded Bulakenyos to stay at home, wash hands often and practice social distancing to avoid the spread of the disease. The PHO-PH Surveillance Unit also reported on Saturday that the province has a total of 38 cases of COVID-19.
