IMUS CITY, Cavite – Naic Mayor Junio C. Dualan and two of his constituents tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post, Dualan said in his “Mensahe ng Bayan” last Tuesday, March 24, that he had tested positive for COVID-19 .
In his message, Dualan asked his constituents for their "understanding and prayers" as he undergoes a "strict self-quarantine", and advised them to follow the guidelines that the government has set forth under the enhanced community quarantine.
The mayor parted his message with his expression of love for his town mates and a strong will that "in the mercy of God, we will overcome all these (the crisis)."
In another post, Dualan also confirmed two other confirmed COVID-19 positive cases in Naic.
He, however, did not provide any detail on the two other cases.
But Governor Jonvic Remulla, citing a report from the Provincial Health Office (PHO), reported
that the two positive cases in Naic involved two male patients aged 62 and 71 years old.
Dualan's update report also revealed that Naic already has nine patients under investigation (PUIs), and 151 under monitoring (PUMs).
