More cities in Metro Manila have reimplemented liquor bans to help curb the spread of COVID-19.

Here is the list of metro cities and municipalities which have imposed anew the prohibition on the sale, delivery, and consumption of alcoholic drinks:
As of March 18, 2021:
1. Quezon City (March 15 - March 31)
On March 14, QC Mayor Joy Belmonte issued a memorandum detailing Supplemental Guidelines on the implementation of the General Community Quarantine in the city.
“All retail sales of alcoholic beverages are hereby suspended for the duration of these Guidelines,” the memo read.

2. San Juan (From March 15)
In an interview with GMA News on March 15, Mayor Francis Zamora announced the implementation of a liquor ban in San Juan City.
While drinking in restaurants, establishments, and other public areas are prohibited, Zamora said that drinking inside homes is allowed.
“Bawal ang pagbenta ng alak, bawal ang pagbili ng alak, so pwede lang uminom sa loob ng ating tahanan (Sale and purchase of liquor is not allowed. You can only drink inside your homes),” he said.
3. Mandaluyong (March 15 - March 31)
Mayor Carmelita Abalos issued Memorandum Order No. 03 ordering a total liquor ban in the city.
The prohibition will be in place for two weeks “unless subsequently extended by the proper authority as the circumstances may warrant.”

4. Malabon (March 15 - April 3)
Mayor Lenlen Oreta announced the liquor ban in Malabon on March 15 on his Facebook page.
Oreta said the prohibition of liquor is part of the city’s measures in lowering the number of cases in Malabon.
5. Muntinlupa (March 15 - April 4)
As part of Muntinlupa’s “tighter COVID-19 response efforts,” Mayor Jaime Fresnedi reimposed the liquor ban in the city.
Fresnedi said the move aims to “prevent gathering opportunities of city residents and minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission.

6. Valenzuela City (March 16 - April 1)
The Valenzuela City government announced the reimplementation of the liquor ban in the city on March 15 on its official social media pages.
The city said the individuals and business establishments caught violating the ordinance will face penalties.
7. Parañaque City (March 15 - March 31)
The Parañaque City government issued an updated general community quarantine guidelines on March 15.
Part of the guidelines is the prohibition of the “selling and serving liquor and other intoxicating and alcoholic beverages” in all establishments.

8. Pateros (March 13 - March 31)
Under Executive Order No. 7, Mayor Miguel Ponce III ordered the prohibition of the “sale, purchase, and consumption of all kinds of liquor and intoxicating beverages.”

9. Navotas (From March 17)
The liquor ban in Navotas was implemented just a month after it was lifted.
On March 17, Mayor Toby Tiangco issued City Ordinance No. 2021-18 banning the sale, delivery, and consumption of alcoholic drinks in public areas in Navotas.
