Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) on Monday announced a 30-day payment extension for customers amid the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) threat and in line with the enhanced community quarantine imposed over Luzon.
In a statement, Meralco announced that bills covered by the extension are those due from March 1 to April 14, 2020.
It added that maintenance activities, unless necessary, are postponed to ensure continuous electricity service.
"Meralco is one with the country in its efforts to contain COVID-19. Stay safe and healthy; stay home," its statement read.
For the meantime, customers may use Meralco Online, Meralco App, and its partner online portals to pay bills.
