The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is vowing to release later this week the result of its investigation into alleged hacking of its servers, which was reported by the Manila Bulletin on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) also offered its services in any probe that would be conducted on the Comelec server breach.

These, as even Malacanang expressed concern over the alleged server breach at the poll agency.

Meanwhile, relief operations continued a month after Typhoon Odette ravaged areas in Visayas and Mindanao with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sending kitchen kits to victim-families, and the government moving to use fallen coconut trees to rebuild houses destroyed by “Odette”.

The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation worsened in Metro Manila as the Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) disclosed that 55 percent of teachers in the National Capital Region (NCR) are suffering from flu-like symptoms.
