The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is now verifying a Manila Bulletin (MB) report on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, that a hackers’ group was able to get into the agency’s system, and download vital information that could affect the 2022 May elections.
But the poll agency also questioned the news report, assailing the “scant” details provided by the report.
Meanwhile, as the country logged another record-high number of daily coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases, the Department of Health (DOH) said the country and Metro Manila are now under critical risk for the coronavirus.
Also, Omicron is now the most dominant COVID-19 variant, as disclosed by DOH Secretary Francisco Duque III in his report to President Duterte during the latter’s Talk to the People late Monday night.
