A source informed the Manila Bulletin (MB) Technews section on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, that there was an ongoing hacking of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) servers. And after verifying the tip, it was found that vital pieces of information were compromised, and this could affect the May 2022 elections.
A new record-high of almost 17,000 new cases was reported in Metro Manila, but the Palace thinks this was not enough to justify a shift to Alert Level 4 in the National Capital Region (NCR).
This came with more appalling report that there was also a new record-high for daily new cases in the country with 32,169 on Monday.
And while there will be increases anew in the prices of fuel, it was also reported that the January billings of Meralco went down.
These are among the top stories this Monday afternoon, Jan. 10, 2022.
