Mayor Sara notes high recovery rate from viral disease in Davao City

DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara Z. Duterte credited the higher recovery rate among coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) patients in the city to the efforts of medical frontliners.
The mayor said, in interview on 87.5 Davao City Disaster Radio, that doctors and other medical staff were doing their best in helping COVID-19 patients to heal.

“The doctors are doing their best to help the patients battle COVID-19” she said.
As of 5 p.m. of April 9, the city has 39 recovered patients from the 70 confirmed cases of COVID-19, while 13 have died.
The mayor also expressed her gratitude to the health workers for their efforts to battle the deadly disease during the Araw ng Kagitingan commemoration on Thursday.
“The passion, interest, and skills of our health care workers to treat the patients are very vital for their recovery,” she said.
“The decision of the doctors is a big contribution to the high recovery rate in the city,” Duterte added.
