Presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Wednesday, Feb. 9, said he is willing to adopt senatorial candidates as long as they announce their support for him in public.

“Well, hindi kami tatanggi sa tutulong sa amin. Napagkasunduan na namin ‘yun. May isa lang kaming rule --kailangan ‘yung sasali sa aming senador kailangan sasabihin nila sa publiko na kami ang kandidato nila (Well, we will not refuse those who want to help us. We’ve already agreed on that. We only have one rule - those who want to join our senatorial slate must announce in public that we are their candidate),” Domagoso said.
Domagoso also said those who want to join his party should also publicly support his running mate, vice presidential candidate Dr. Willie Ong.
“Hindi naman sarado, wala pang guest candidate. I have to be fair pag dumarating sila. Dumating silang tao, so tao rin namin silang tinuturing kasi kahit naman hindi tayo nakapag-aral sa tamang panahon, marunong naman tayong makipag-kapwa tao. ‘Yun ang mahalaga. Maiparamdam natin sa kanila na dilaw, pula, o sino pa, pwede naman namin kayong makasalamuha.. (We are not closing our doors. There are no guest candidates yet. If they come to us in humility, then we will embrace them and treat them with the same humility. I may have completed my education later in my life but I do know how to treat people right. That, I believe, is the most important thing. For us to be able to show to them that there are no political colors here. We will welcome all of them)," the mayor said.
“Lahat wine-welcome namin, lahat ng gustong tumulong sa amin, thank you very much. Ang pobre hindi nakakapamili masyado (We welcome all of those who want to help us. Beggars can't be choosers),” he added.
Domagoso, along with the Aksyon Demokratiko party, continued their provincial sorties in Rizal province on Wednesday, Feb. 9.
