Mati City Public Information Office head Ben Tesiorna said volunteers have been repacking food packs with more stringent home quarantine restrictions set to be enforced by March 27.
Tesiorna said around 42,256 families from the 26 barangays of the city are expected to receive the food packs until April 3, Friday.
Aside from Mati, the provincial government of Davao Oriental and the Davao City government have also donated food packs for the city.
"The food pack will be distributed per family," Tesiorna said.
All volunteers from the Mati City Council, Philippine Red Cross and other LGUs are working round-the-clock to finish repacking so that distribution of the food packs could proceed as scheduled.
