Manila City gov't eyes distribution of second tranche of P1k-cash aid on May 20

A budget of P621 million was allocated for the second tranche of the CACAF, it added. On April 6, Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso signed City Ordinance No. 8625, authorizing the allocation of a supplemental budget to provide financial aid to families in the Philippine capital amid the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) crisis. In the first tranche of the CACAF distribution, an initial budget of P591 million was released for around 568,000 families. Additional funds were released in the following days after barangay officials submitted updated master lists of families who were not able to receive financial assistance during the first distribution.
