Mandatory swab test, quarantine no longer needed upon arrival in Negros Occidental
BACOLOD CITY – The provincial government of Negros Occidental will no longer require mandatory swab test and quarantine for travelers upon arrival in the province starting Monday, March 15.

This was revealed by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson in compliance with Resolution 101 of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) stating the new guidelines on the uniformed travel protocols in the country.
Lacson said he will meet city and municipal mayors to inform them about the implementation of the resolution next week.
Based on the new travel guidelines issued by the IATF, reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) testing shall not be mandatory for travelers except if the local government unit (LGU) of destination will require testing as a requirement prior to travel and such shall be limited to RT-PCR.
No traveler shall be required to undergo quarantine unless they exhibit symptoms upon arrival at the LGU of destination, as stated in the resolution.
The resolution also said that travel authority and health certificates shall no longer be required.
However, Lacson noted that travelers will still be required to present a negative result of their RT-PCR tests from their places of origin 72 hours before arrival in the province.
Lacson said he will issue an executive order regarding the matter.
