In a Facebook post Saturday, Mayor Abalos said that they are aiming to test all the tricycle driver members of the 52 TODAs (tricycle operators and drivers’ associations) in the city.
The drivers who will test negative for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) may go back to plying their route, it was said in the FB post.
However those who test positive will have to undergo a confirmatory PCR test by the Department of Health as well as undergo a 14-day quarantine.
The city government of Mandaluyong is implementing several protocols that tricycle drivers need to abide by.
First is that they can only take one passenger at a time.
Both the passenger and the driver should be wearing a face mask and there should be a partition that separates the driver and the passenger.
