The Las Piñas City local government immediately responded to the fire victims who are temporarily staying at Barangay Elias Aldana covered court on Saturday, March 25.
 
Vice Mayor April Aguilar led the distribution of packed meals, grocery items, sleeping and hygiene kits to the fire victims.
 
According to Mayor Imelda Aguilar, around 26 families or 88 individuals were displaced when a fire occurred at San Jose St. (Plaza Quezon) in Barangay Elias Aldana.

The incident happened at around 7:29 p.m. on Friday, March 24.
 
She said the city government also distributed modular tents to each family who stayed at the covered court.
 
Vice Mayor April was accompanied by members of the Las Piñas Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO), City Health Office (CH), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), and the Bureau of Fire (BFP) during the relief operation.
