Lacson, Gatchalian downed by COVID-19

Two senators - Panfilo M. Lacson and Sherwin T. Gatchaliian- are tested COVID-19 positive as relayed through their Twitter accounts.

Lacson had his RT-PCR test taken last January 4 but he received the result only last night.

‘’Immediately informed all my Jan. 3 physical contacts of my Jan. 4 COVID positive test result which was released only last night, Jan. 6 so they can take extra precautions to protect their loved ones and others,’’ he said.

‘’Thank God no one is exhibiting symptoms. Wearing our masks helped much,’’ he added.

Lacson earlier said his son, a maid and a driver were downed by COVID-19.

Gatchalian, on the other hand, said he was tested positive today.

His statement follows:

‘’Following strict health protocols, I went on self-quarantine away from family, friends and the public. So far, I am only experiencing mild symptoms from the virus and this goes to show that the vaccines are effective and working against it. I enjoin everyone to get your booster shots right away.
