The Bukluran ng Manggagawang Pilipino has asked workers to join the noise barrage on May 1 by banging their pots and pans.
"Workers! We can still celebrate Labor Day even with social distancing. Put up a poster of our demands outside our homes and together bang our pots and pans from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m," the group said in Facebook post.
"Record it on video, post it on social media and send it to the BMP FB page," added BMP.
"Just because there is an ECQ it doesnt mean we can't push anymore our rights and demands," the group said.
The Kilusang Mayo Uno issued the same call to workers.
"On Labor Day, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, let's launch different kinds of protest nationwide," the group said.
Aside from joining the noise barrage and putting up streamers, KMU also urged workers to wear red face masks, red shirts, red arm bands.
The Nagkaisa Labor Coalition said since streets remain closed, workers should bring their concerns online.
"Streets on Labor Day remain closed. But protest online is not prohibited. Then let's carry the fight online," the group said.
"How? Do a selfie holding a placard with your concerns, face mask, post it in your social media account (FB or Twitter) using the #AyudangSapatParaSalahat; #BalikTrabahongLigtas, at #Mayday2020," said Nagkaisa.
Among the demands of labor groups on Labor Day are paid quarantine leave, guaranteed income, and hazard pay amid the COVID pandemic.
