Hong Kong limits incoming passengers to its residents

  By Roy Mabasa Starting from midnight of March 24, 2020, non-residents of Hong Kong will no longer be allowed to enter the former Crown Colony, including transit passengers, for a period of two weeks following reports that cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) have almost doubled in the past week. (Photo by ANTHONY WALLACE / AFP / MANILA BULLETIN) The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), in an advisory, urged all travelers to check if their inbound or outbound flights from Philippine airports will be affected by this new Hong Kong restriction, and adjust their travel plans accordingly. At the same time, the DFA reminds the Filipino public to remain vigilant and accurately informed as countries or territories are imposing travel restrictions that may affect Filipino travelers. On Monday, two more Filipinos were tested positive with the COVID-19 disease, raising the number of Filipinos in Hong Kong afflicted with the virus to five.
