GSIS to release April pension early for Holy Week

By Noreen Jazul Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) pensioners can withdraw their April pension starting Thursday. (FACEBOOK / MANILA BULLETIN) (FACEBOOK / MANILA BULLETIN) “I-dedeposito po lahat by April 1 ng 9 pm, and ma wi-withdraw po nila ng April 2 (All pensions will be deposited by 9 pm of April 1, and pensioners can withdraw it by April 2),” GSIS president and general manager Rolando Macasaet told DZBB on Monday. “So prior to Holy Week meron na silang pambili ng pangangailangan nila (Before Holy Week, our pensioners will have means to buy for their needs).” Normally, Macasaet said, pensions are released every 8th of the month, but it was credited in advance to help pensioners affected by the enhanced community quarantine implemented over Luzon. Aside from advance pension, GSIS has also opened online loan applications for its members and pensioners amid the ECQ. Loans that can be applied online through the website of GSIS, gsis.gov.ph, are the Consolidated Loan (Conso-Loan), Policy Loan, and Pension Loan.
