DILG Secretary Eduardo Año
(NTF Against COVID-19 / MANILA BULLETIN) Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said they will send home the LSIs altogether once the 14-day suspension on the return of LSIs in Region 8 has been lifted. Initially, the government has already scheduled a mass transport of LSIs on July 4. Those bound for Region 8 will not be included in the trip. Año urged LSIs to not flock to airports and seaports especially if they don't have confirmed trips. The DILG secretary assured the LSIs that the government will continuously provide transportation for them to be able to go home.
