Four more city bus routes are set to open on Monday (June 8) to serve more commuters as public transportation remains limited in Metro Manila under general community quarantine.

The additional routes were approved by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board as part of the 31 rationalized bus routes in Metro Manila, according to DOTr Assistant Secretary Goddes Libiran.
The four routes to be opened on Monday are Monumento to Valenzuela Gateway Complex (Route 3); Monumento to San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan (Route 21); Gilmore to Taytay (Route 11); and Buendia to BGC (Route 13).
DOTr-LTFRB has authorized 54 units to service Route 3; 105 units for Route 21; 78 units for Route 11; and 22 units for Route 13.
Libiran noted that the routes that were opened last week were:
Route 1: Monumento to Balagtas, Bulacan
Route 17: EDSA to Montalban, Rizal
Route 18: Parañaque International Terminal Exchange to Ninoy Aquino International Airport Loop
Route 5: Angat to Quezon Ave.
Route 28: Dasmariñas, Cavite to National Capital Region
Route 9: Cubao-Antipolo (to augment LRT-2)
Route 17: EDSA Taft-Monumento (to augment LRT-1)
Portion of Route E: EDSA Carousel (to augment MRT-3)
