Former senator Bongbong Marcos positive for COVID-19

By Mario B. Casayuran The health condition of former senator Ferdinand ‘’Bongbong’’ R. Marcos Jr. is improving after following health protocols for COVID-19-positive patients. Marcos had himself tested at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) in Muntinlupa City on March 14, a day after arriving from Spain, a country that has one of the highest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in Europe. Rodriguez said Marcos is one of the thousands of Filipinos fighting the coronavirus and being treated in isolation areas. Quoting Marcos, Rodriguez said the only time the former senator went out of his house was last March 22 when he went to the emergency room of a private hospital after experiencing shortness of breath. He said the hospital conducted tests on him and later allowed him to go home, but advised him to go into self-quarantine . Marcos did not mention the name of the hospital. Young Marcos is the son of the late President Ferdinand Marcos and brother of Senator Imee R.
